THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State dropped its Sunday game to NJIT 3-2 at Stillwell Stadium.
The Owls took a 1-0 lead, but NJIT came back with the next two runs. KSU responded once to tie the score back up, but couldn't respond the second time when the Highlanders went up 3-2 in the seventh.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Jaylen Smith got the Owls going in the second inning with a single. After getting to third,
LaDonis Bryant knocked him in with a grounder to second base.

Jake Rothwell sat down the first 10 batters he faced, but NJIT ended up scoring one run on one hit in the fourth inning to tie the score.
· NJIT took its first lead in the top of the sixth. Kennesaw State responded as
Terence Norman singled home
Grant Williams from third base to tie things back up.
· The Highlanders got the lead back in the seventh and KSU got one runner on over the final three frames, but couldn't push anyone across home plate to tie the score.
· Rothwell finished the game going 6.1 innings pitched giving up three runs on four hits.
Jake McLinskey came out of the bullpen going the final 2.2 innings and only gave up two hits.

Kennesaw State will play their last home game in Stillwell Stadium on Tuesday, May 15 at 6 p.m. against Clemson. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
