Game Preview
Kennesaw State is back in the ASUN Championship and will be facing Coastal Carolina on Thursday, May 3 at 4 p.m.

The Owls are the three seed after having a 3-2 ASUN record in the regular season by defeating Stetson, Old Dominion and Howard.

Earlier this season, Coastal Carolina downed Kennesaw State 18-12 behind a big second half after the teams were tied at 9 at halftime.

Kennesaw State Team Notes
• The Owls finished the regular season with a 7-10 record overall and a 3-2 ASUN record. It was the first time in program history that Kennesaw State has finished with over a .500 record in ASUN play.
• This is the first meeting between Coastal Carolina and Kennesaw State in the ASUN tournament. The Owls are 0-5 against the Chanticleers all time.
• Freshman Siena Gore has had a historical season on the field for Kennesaw State. She has broken four single-season ASUN records in goals, goals per game, draw controls and draw controls per game.
• Gore isn't only leading the conference in a bunch of categories, but she's also one of the best in the nation in goals per game, draw controls per game and free-position goals per game. She is second in the country in free-position goals per game, eighth in the country in goals per game and 11th in the country in draw controls per game.
• The ASUN has a different look this year as the old ASUN split into two conferences. Remaining in the ASUN lacrosse league this season are Jacksonville, Coastal Carolina, Stetson, Old Dominion and Howard. For the ASUN tournament, the top four teams made it.
• Kennesaw State scored 20 goals against Howard in the regular season finale. It was the second time this season that KSU scored at least 20 goals and gave the Owls a 4-4 record on the road.
• Abby Squires had her best game in an Owls uniform so far leading the team with four goals and winning seven draw controls. Both are career highs for the sophomore.
• KSU has been successful at winning draw controls all season and a big reason for that success has been Squires. She is second on the team with 51 draw controls, but she's also very successful in directing the ball Gore's way who has set a new ASUN single-season record with 113 draw controls.
• Earlier in the season, Swift became the fifth Kennesaw State player to reach the 100-career point mark.
• KSU held Howard to just seven goals in the game. It was the fourth time this season that the Owls have held their opponents to under 10 goals. That matches a program high set last season in head coach Laura Maness' first season with Kennesaw State.
• Earlier this season, Maness became the all-time winningest coach in Kennesaw State history. She is also the all-time winningest coach at Detroit before coming to Kennesaw State.
