KENNESAW, Ga. – Alexa Solorzano and Maddie Roth led the offense, and Abigail Green and Alley Cutting combined on a four-hitter to lead the Kennesaw State softball team to a 9-1, five-inning victory and an ASUN Conference series sweep over Stetson Sunday at Bailey Park.

The Owls (28-13, 8-1) had the offense going early, scoring three times in the bottom of the first inning. Solorzano singled with one out, Roth followed with an RBI single, Patricia Awald doubled home a run and Kira Czyrklis singled home the final run to give KSU a 3-0 lead.

Kennesaw State added a run in the third, three in the fourth, and scored twice in the fifth for a walk-off win as Jessie Mullen's single up the middle drove home the winning run.

Czyrklis opened the fifth with a walk, Noelle Winkles followed with a triple to left, and one out later, Mullen came through with an RBI single.

Green (13-4) earned the victory after working three innings, allowing three hits, a run, three walks and striking out four. Cutting entered in the fourth and picked up her third save of the season, following two innings of work and surrendering a hit, a walk and striking out three.

Solorzano and Roth each had two hits and two runs scored, while Czyrklis had a pair of RBIs.
