THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State fought back in the ninth with a two-out rally to tie FGCU at three, but the Eagles came right back in the bottom half to score and seal the victory in the third game of the series.
It's the first ASUN series that the Owls have dropped.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Kennesaw State got off to a great start scoring two runs in the first inning helped out by two FGCU errors.
· In the sixth inning the Owls threatened again as
LaDonis Bryant had a single to left and
Terence Norman was thrown out at home trying to score from second.
· The Owls kept FGCU off the board until the seventh inning when the Eagles hit a three-run homer to take their first lead in the game.
· With the Owls backs up against the wall with two outs in the ninth,
Forrest Bramlett got a hit that knocked in
Jake Franklin to tie the score up.
· The Owls couldn't hold FGCU though as they manufactured the winning run with a single and a double all with two outs in the ninth.
UP NEXT
The Owls will have a small break for final exams and their next game will be at home against Georgia State on Tuesday, May 8 at 6 p.m.
