THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State got a 2-1 road win to start the series against FGCU on Friday, April 27 in Fort Myers, Florida.
 
AJ Moore was brilliant on the mound throwing 7.0 IP and only allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The win improved Kennesaw State to 8-3 on Friday nights this season and 10-3 overall in the ASUN
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
· Kennesaw State got on the board first in the second inning after Jaylen Smith got a leadoff double and LaDonis Bryant and Forrest Bramlett each advanced him to put the Owls up 1-0.
· After FGCU tied up the score, Jake Franklin slapped a single to start the fourth inning and got to third after a wild pitch before scoring on a throwing error by the Eagles.
· Moore was fantastic on the mound only allowing 1 run on 3 hits over 7.0 innings pitched. His final three innings he faced the minimum number of batters.
· Jake McLinskey came on in the eighth and got a six-out save. It was his fifth save of the season.

The Owls will play the second game of the series against FGCU on Saturday, April 28 at 2 p.m.
