Owls Hit Two Three-Run Homers in the Second Game for the Victory

THE BASICS

THE STORYLINE: 
· Kennesaw State swept the double header against Lipscomb to take their fourth ASUN series in as many tries.
 
In the first game of the day, the Owls used a four-run sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and held on from there.
 
In the second game, Terence Norman and AJ Willoughby each hit three-run homers in the seventh and eighth innings to seal the second victory of the day and the 23rd of the season.

GAME 1  
· The game was all tied up heading into the bottom of the sixth and KSU got four runs on five hits to take a 5-1 lead. LaDonis Bryant was the one that got the first clutch hit to break the tie.
· Brooks Buckler pitched six innings and only gave up one run on five hits. Four other pitchers came out of the bullpen and didn't give up a hit over the final three innings to help preserve the win.
· Lipscomb didn't get a hit after the fourth inning.
· Bryant finished the game going 3-4 with the go-ahead RBI and scored one run himself.
· The Owls totaled 10 hits total with Bryant having three and seven other players having one.
 
GAME 2 
· Lipscomb struck first scoring three runs in the fourth inning.
· After getting a couple runs back, but still trailing in the game, Norman came up with runners on first and third and hit a bomb to left field to give the Owls their first lead at 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh.
· The Bisons answered in the eighth to tie the score, but KSU wasn't done either. AJ Willoughby got in on the act belting another three-run homer to go up 8-5.
· Jake McClinskey came in for the ninth and recorded his third save of the season.
 
UP NEXT
Kennesaw State will travel to Clemson on Tuesday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m. in Clemson, South Carolina.
