THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State got edged out by Lipscomb as they scored a run in the top of the ninth to take the first game of the series.
 
AJ Moore went 7.1 innings pitched and gave up five runs (four earned) on six hits.
 
The loss drops the Owls to 7-3 in ASUN play.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
· The Bisons went up 4-1 after scoring three runs in the top of the fifth. Kennesaw State chipped away over the next two innings to tie the score at four.
· After tying the score at four, the Owls had to answer again in the bottom of the seventh to tie up the score for the third time.
· In the eighth inning, the Owls threatened with runners on second and third with one out, but couldn't get a run across to take their first lead of the game.
· In the ninth inning, Lipscomb took the lead once again and Grant Williams and Terence Norman both had deep drives to right field, but the park held them in for long outs.

UP NEXT
Kennesaw State will play its second double header in a row on Saturday with the first game beginning at 1 p.m. and the second game beginning 30 minutes after the first one ends.
