. -The Kennesaw State men's tennis team defeated NJIT, 6-1, on senior day Thursday at the Betty Siegel Courts.
The win secures the Owls a spot in next weekend's ASUN Tennis Tournament in Jacksonville.

"I am really proud of our seniors not only for what they did today but for what they have done during their whole careers," said Director of Tennis
Eduardo Rincon. "These are two guys who are going to be successful in life no matter what they do."
The Owls took control of the match early securing the doubles point.
Fermin Calvo Barcelo and
Manuel Castellanos made quick work of Jan Cimrman and Abdullah Fouad (NJIT) 6-0 at No.1 doubles.
Drew Lahey and
Bryan Triana (KSU) snuck past Tomi Antoljak and Zac Castagna, 7-6 at No.2 doubles.
In singles, the reigning ASUN Player of the Week,Â
Fermin Calvo Barcelo was able to beat Tomi Antoljak 6-3, 6-1 to win his 12th consecutive singles match at No.1 singles.
Lucas de Torres Curth defeated Jan Cimrman 6-1, 6-3 at No.2 singles.
Corey Smith got past Lukas Zvikas  4-6, 6-2, 10-8 in a third set tiebreaker at No.3 singles.
Bryan Triana picked up a straight-sets win over Abdullah Fouad (NJIT) 6-3, 6-1. At No.5 singles,
Drew Lahey came back from a set down to take down Zac Castagna 6-4, 2-6, 10-3.
The Owls will head to Spartanburg, S.C. to close out ASUN Conference play on Saturday (Apr.14) at 6 p.m. Â
