THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State dropped the second game in the series 9-3 to USC Upstate at Harley Park.
· Tyler Simon went 2-5 in the game with 2 RBI and Jake Franklin continued his hot week with a home run for the Owls.
· The loss was the first for the Owls in six games and KSU will look for a series win on Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
· The Owls found themselves in a two-run deficit after the first inning, but battled back to tie the score up in the fourth inning with a Jake Franklin home run.
· The Spartans took the lead back scoring a run in the fifth and two runs in the sixth to go back up 5-2.
· KSU scored a run in the seventh to get within two, but USC Upstate responded with four runs in the eighth to take a 9-3 lead. The Owls couldn't recover after that.

UP NEXT
The Owls will look to clinch the series against USC Upstate on Saturday, March 31 at 1 p.m. at Harley Park.
