THE STORYLINE:
· Kennesaw State clinched the series on the road at USC Upstate with a 5-2 victory at Harley Park on Saturday, March 31.
· Jake Rothwell got the win on the mound going 6.2 innings and only allowing two hits.
· Once Rothwell left, the bullpen stepped up and didn't give up a hit the rest of the way to secure the victory.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: 
· The Owls got on the board first for the first time in the series when Griffin Helms doubled to right knocking in Tyler Simon.
· The Owls added to their lead getting a run in the sixth and two in the seventh to take a 4-0 lead.
· The Spartans would score one run in the seventh and one run in the eighth, but the Owls also got an insurance run in the eighth to still have breathing room.
· Brian Exley came on the in the ninth to get the save.

UP NEXT
Kennesaw State will be at home all of spring break next week. First up will be Tennessee Tech on Wednesday, April 4 at 5 p.m.
