MT: Owls Fall to Lipscomb on Saturday

KENNESAW, Ga. –The Kennesaw State men's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to Lipscomb on Saturday afternoon in its ASUN Conference opener.

"I was really proud of the way we competed today," Director of Tennis Eduardo Rincon said. "We played tough against a strong Lipscomb team. We have a quick turnaround to get ready to face Gardner-Webb tomorrow afternoon."

 The Bisons took early control of the match claiming the doubles point. The Owls picked up a win in doubles from Bryan Triana and Drew Lahey over Jorge Ortegon and Franceso Tacconi, 6-3.

In singles action, the Owls got a pair of wins.  Fermin Calvo Barcelo  beat Alejandro Manzanares, 6-0,6-3 at No.1 singles. Bryan Triana knocked off Daniel Cardenas, 7-5, 6-2 at No.4 singles.

KSU (5-7) will return to action at home on Sunday, March 25 when they will take on Gardner-Webb at the Betty Siegel Courts beginning at 2 p.m. Admission is free.
