THE STORYLINE: 
· A strong effort by the right arm of Brooks Buckler could not overcome a four-run seventh frame by host Oklahoma Saturday afternoon, defeating Kennesaw State 4-1 at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
· The Owls (8-12) dropped its third straight game and will look to take the series finale over the Sooners (14-7) Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
· Buckler, a Norcross, Ga., native, allowed eight hits and two runs in 6.1 hard-fought innings.
· The righty worked six straight scoreless frames before allowing the Sooners to plate a pair of his expense in the seventh.
· Buckler finished with two punch-outs and 76 pitches, tossing 67 percent of his pitches for strikes.
· Oklahoma countered with Devon Perez, who tossed 7.0 strong innings and holding Kennesaw State to just two hits and one unearned run.
· The Owls' lineup registered just one hit through the first six frames, but broke the scoreless bid capitalizing on an error and an RBI single off the bat of senior 1B Taylor Allum.
· Oklahoma quickly responded with four runs on four hits in the bottom of the seventh to take a 4-1 lead into the final two at-bats for KSU.
· LHP Brian Exley entered the ballgame for the Owls in the seventh and worked 1.2 scoreless innings out of the bullpen, allowing just one hit and struck out a pair of Sooners.
· Offensively, the Owls were paced by Griffin Helms (1-for-4) and Allum (1-for-4, RBI) on the day.
