THE BASICS

THE STORYLINE: 
· Kennesaw State scored three runs in the second inning but Georgia plated 15 runs on 11 hits to take a 15-3 final at Foley Field in Athens, Ga., Tuesday evening.
· The Owls (8-10) had six players register at least one hit, with Jake Franklin, Garrett Hodges and Tyler Simon tallying multi-hit games, while the Bulldogs (12-5) used back-to-back seven-run frames to pull away.

STORYLINE:   
· An RBI double off Hodges' bat gave the Owls a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the second, followed by a sacrifice fly by Terence Norman and an RBI single off the bat of Simon to take a 3-0 advantage.
· Georgia's offense responded, scoring seven runs in the second, seven more in the third and one more in the fourth, registering 10 hits over the span to score 15 unanswered runs.
· Kennesaw State used nine pitchers on the evening, including scoreless outings from RHP Monty Horn (1.0 IP), RHP Rhian Mann (1.0 IP), LHP Brian Exley (1.0 IP) and RHP Deviner McCray (1.0 IP).
· Offensively, KSU was led by Franklin (3-for-4, run), Hodges (2-for-4, RBI), Norman (0-for-3, RBI), and Simon (2-for-3, RBI), who were four of six that registered at least a hit in the game.
