FORT MYERS, Fla. – Freshman
Kamiyah Street scored 18 points and added 11 rebounds to lead the Kennesaw State women's basketball team during a 78-51 setback at Florida Gulf Coast Monday at Alico Arena.

Street recorded her fourth double-double of the season while sophomore
Carlotta Gianolla chipped in 16 points for the Owls (7-17, 3-10).

STORYLINE
The Owls played a solid first quarter, closing the opening period with a 10-4 run to trail 16-14. However, the Eagles got hot, connecting on six straight field goals that sparked a 28-9 second quarter and gave FGCU a 44-23 halftime lead. Florida Gulf Coast shot 78.6 percent from the field in the second quarter and 58 percent in the first half. The depth and experience of the Eagles (26-4, 12-1) showed as they recorded a 26-3 advantage in bench scoring. FGCU finished the game connecting on 52 percent of their shots.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Street scored in double digits for the 22nd time in 24 games, including her last 18 contests, and led the Owls in scoring for the 15th time. Following the conclusion of Monday's play, Kennesaw State will be the No. 7 seed and travel to Jacksonville for the quarterfinals of the ASUN Championship Tournament on Friday, Mar. 2.
