KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State football program will play a seven-game Big South Conference slate during the 2019 season the league office announced on Tuesday morning.
Â
The Owls have won back-to-back Big South Conference championships in undefeated fashion, winning 10 consecutive league games the last two seasons. KSU would be the first team conference history to win three consecutive outright championships if it can accomplish the feat next fall.
Â
The seven-game conference slate will be the largest in league history, adding Hampton and North Alabama to the schedule for the fall campaign.
Â
The Owls will look to continue their 10-game winning streak against Big South opponents as they open up conference play at home on Oct. 12 against Charleston Southern. KSU will then travel to Clinton, S.C. for the last time as conference opponents for a bout with Presbyterian on Oct. 19.
Â
On Oct. 26, Kennesaw State welcomes first-year conference foe North Alabama to Fifth Third Bank Stadium. This will be the first matchup between the Lions and Owls as North Alabama is transitioning from Division II into the Big South Conference. KSU will compete in back-to-back home games as the Owls will then host to Monmouth on Nov. 2.
Â
KSU will close out its conference road slate with back-to-back games at Campbell (Nov. 9) and at Hampton (Nov. 16). The Owls will matchup with Hampton for the first time in program history.
Â
The 2019 regular season will finish up with Kennesaw State playing host to Gardner-Webb on Nov. 23.
