Game Preview
The Kennesaw State women's soccer team will have a quick turnaround this week when it makes a return trip to Florida to visit Stetson Thursday in DeLand. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Following Thursday's contest, the Owls (10-3-1, 3-1-0) will return home to for a key matchup with ASUN Conference co-leader FGCU Sunday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Kickoff is 1 p.m.

Weekend Recap
Kennesaw State went 2-0 last week, posting a 2-0 home victory over Jacksonville on Friday before traveling to Florida and recording a 3-2 double-overtime win at North Florida.

After a scoreless first half, the Owls struck for the match's first goal when freshman
Jenna Vollrath scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season on a breakaway as her shot hit off the far post and into the goal at the 52:24 mark to give KSU a 1-0 lead over Jacksonville. Kennesaw State extended its lead to 2-0 less than 10 minutes later when
Erin Harris beat a defender inside the box and left-footed a shot for a score following a free kick by
Kendall Hart at the 59:15 mark.

Sophomore
Kendall Higgs connected for the game-winning goal 19 seconds into the second overtime period to lift Kennesaw State to a 3-2 win over North Florida on Sunday. After the Ospreys scored two first-half goals, the Owls came out in the second half and tied the score 2-2 less than three minutes into the period when
Isabella Contreras scored twice in the span of 26 seconds.

Scouting Stetson
The Hatters enter the week 3-7-3 overall and 0-3-1 in ASUN Conference play. Stetson has been shutout in each of its last three games, falling to Jacksonville (1-0), Lipscomb (2-0) and North Alabama (1-0). Junior midfielder Lindsey Parent tops Stetson with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist). Manoj Khettry is in his sixth season guiding the Hatters and has posted a 43-49-12 record.

Thursday's contest will mark the 15th meeting between Kennesaw State and Stetson, and the Owls lead the all-time series, 7-5-2. KSU suffered a 3-0 setback a year ago in DeLand and is seeking its first win over Stetson since a 2-1 win in 2014.

The Eagles are 10-1-2 overall, 3-1-0 in ASUN Conference play and among teams receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Association poll. FGCU had its three-match winning streak snapped on Sunday, falling 1-0 to Lipscomb in Fort Myers. Junior forward Evdokia Popadinova leads the Eagles and ASUN Conference with 26 points (10 goals, 6 assists). Head coach Jim Blankenship is in his 11th season at FGCU and has compiled an overall record of 138-48-22.
