Â
The All-Time Series Versus Jacksonville
Kennesaw State is 9-17 against Jacksonville all time, but have had some more success recently. The Owls have gotten a split the past two seasons with the Dolphins.
Â
Scouting Jacksonville
Jacksonville was up and down in non-conference play finishing with a 6-11 record, but got a huge road win at North Florida to start conference play.
Â
The Dolphins are led by Jace Hogan, who averages 16.9 points per game and a freshman from Georgia J.D. Notae.
Â
Against UNF, Notae scored 25 points and was a huge part in the second half comeback hitting the eventual game winner to cap off the road win.
Â
Tony Jasick is in his fourth season with Jacksonville
Â
Scott Leads the Way on Offense
James Scott has stepped up on the offensive end leading the team averaging 16.6 points per game. He has scored in double figures in 14 of the 15 games he's played in so far this season. He is fourth in the ASUN in points per game.
Â
Masterson Shoots at a High Percentage
Nick Masterson is making 50.7 percent of his threes despite other defenses keying on him in the Owls offense. At home, he's even better as he is 18-32 from behind the arc and making a staggering 56.25 percent.
Â
When you combine his shooting percentage with two-point field goals, three-point field goals and free throws, Masterson has a total shooting percentage of 68.5 percent. That is the 32nd best mark in the country.
Â
Clarke Brings Durability
Junior
Kyle Clarke was one of only two players to see action in all 32 games last season.
Â
This year, he has played in 15 of the 16 games.
Â
In fact, over his career he's only missed six games that the Owls have played in.
Â
Jones Finds a Rhythm
Senior
Jordan Jones has been very productive on the offensive end shooting a high percentage over the last seven games. He is 27-36 from the floor since the Bethune-Cookman game.
Â
The senior forward has made at least six field goals in the last three games scoring in double figures in all three games.
