Game Preview
The Kennesaw State women's soccer team resumes ASUN Conference play this weekend when it travels to Florida for a pair of matches.

The Owls (5-3-3, 0-0-1) visit Stetson in DeLand on Friday beginning at 7 p.m. (ET), and concludes the weekend with a 1 p.m. contest against defending ASUN Conference champion Florida Gulf Coast Sunday in Fort Myers.

With five shutouts thus far this season, Kennesaw State is one shutout shy of equaling its season total from a year ago. The program single-season record is 13 set in 2002.

Quoting Head Coach Benji Walton
"We have a huge challenge ahead of us. Stetson was the No. 3 seed in the ASUN Tournament last season and Florida Gulf Coast is the perennial conference champion, so we're going to have two very tough games," head coach Benji Walton said. "We have to use the USC Upstate result as ammunition to get us fired up to go on the road and own the road. That's going to be our mission, but it's going to be tough because they're both very good teams."

Week in Review
Kennesaw State was 34 seconds away from a victory and then the unfortunate happened. The Owls allowed an own goal with under a minute remaining, and after two overtime periods, were forced to settle for a 1-1 tie with USC Upstate in their ASUN Conference opener Friday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

The two teams held each other scoreless for the first 87 minutes before Kennesaw State broke through for a 1-0 lead when junior Carly Pressgrove headed in a goal off a corner kick from Morgan Harrison in the 88th minute. It was Pressgrove's first goal of the season.

Scouting Stetson
• The Hatters are currently 5-2-2 overall and 0-0-1 in ASUN Conference play. Stetson opened conference play with a 0-0 tie against Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. Senior forward Sarah Collins leads the Hatters and ranks second in the ASUN Conference with 14 points. Her seven goals top the conference.

Series Versus Stetson
Kennesaw State leads the all-time series, 7-4-2. Stetson registered a 1-0 victory last season at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. The two teams played to a 2-2 tie in 2015 and the Owls posted a 2-1 victory in 2014.

Scouting Florida Gulf Coast
The Eagles enter the weekend with a 7-2-1 overall record, including a 0-0-1 mark in ASUN Conference play after tying Stetson, 0-0, last Saturday. Florida Gulf Coast is led by sophomore forward Marjorie Boilesen, who leads the ASUN Conference with 16 points (6 goals, 4 assists). FGCU paces the conference with 25 goals scored.

Getting Defensive
Entering this weekend, Florida Gulf Coast (0.68), Stetson (0.74) and Kennesaw State (1.03) rank one, two and three, respectively, in the ASUN Conference in goals against average. The Eagles top the conference with six shutouts, while the Owls (5) and Hatters (4) rank second and third, respectively.
