KENNESAW, Ga. – After getting a big win over Lipsomb on Friday to start ASUN play, Kennesaw State won two weekly awards as
Anaiah Boyer was named ASUN Player of the Week and
Rachel Taylor was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week.
It is Boyer's fourth time winning the award. She finished the match with 13 kills and 10 digs for her second double-double of the season. With the Owls trailing 24-22 in the fourth set with the match on the line, Boyer picked up three kills to keep KSU alive and allow the Owls to win in a thrilling five sets.
This is Taylor's first weekly award. She was a force at the net coming up with eight blocks on the night including one that finished off the fourth set. Taylor also had four kills with no errors in the match.
Kennesaw State is now 1-0 in the ASUN and 7-3 overall. They will be back at home this weekend in the KSU Convocation Center hosting FGCU on Friday, September 29 and Stetson on Saturday, September 30. Both of those matches are at 7 p.m.
