Kennesaw State Team Notes
- Kennesaw State is off to a 6-1 start after sweeping Georgia in the KSU Convocation Center. It was the first time in program history that the Owls had bested the in-state Bulldogs.
- The Owls are currently on a four-match winning streak heading to Lexington. In those four matches, KSU has only lost one set.
- With the victory over Georgia, KSU has beaten every NCAA Division I team in the state of Georgia. They are 8-2 in the past three seasons against in-state opponents.
- Senior libero Katarina Morton reached a career milestone on September 1 against UC Irvine. She became the second player in Kennesaw State history and 10th player in ASUN history to reach 1,500 career digs.
- Fellow senior Anaiah Boyer is also close to a career milestone as she is nine kills away from kill number 1,000.
- When Kennesaw State beat St. Louis on September 2, head coach Keith Schunzel became the all-time winningest coach in Kennesaw State history. This is his fifth season leading the Owls.
- Junior Maddie Jones leads the team in kills with 78 on the season. She has had double-digit kills in three of the last four matches.
- This season the Owls are 2-0 against ACC or SEC opponents beating Clemson and Georgia in straight sets.
