•
Katarina Morton won her third ASUN Defensive Player of the Week award after averaging 5.06 digs per set and breaking a Kennesaw State school record with 34 in a four-set match against Illinois State. Morton was also named to the all-tournament team out in St. Louis.
• Against UC Irvine, Morton notched her 1,500th career dig. She became the 10th player in ASUN history and second player in Kennesaw State history to reach the milestone.
•
Kristi Piedimonte was also named to the all-tournament team in her hometown playing in front of a bunch of family and friends. Piedimonte accumulated 110 assists in 10 sets during the tournament.
• With the two wins against Illinois State and St. Louis, head coach
Keith Schunzel has the most wins by a coach in Kennesaw State volleyball history. Coming into the season, he was only three wins away from tying the mark and the Owls notched their third and fourth victories yesterday. Schunzel is in his fifth season with Kennesaw State.
•
Maddie Jones capped a great week on Monday by finishing with 14 kills and only one error hitting .500 in the match. Against Illinois State, the junior outside hitter set a career record with 20 kills. She also chipped in with 18 digs.
• Kennesaw State leads the ASUN in hitting percentage and opponents hitting percentage. KSU hits .258 as a team and holds their opponents to only a .134. Out of six matches, the Owls have held two of their opponents under .100 and one of those hit negative for the match.
•
Anaiah Boyer is only 19 kills away from career kill number 1,000. This season she has 41 kills and is averaging 3.15 kills per set.
• Earlier this season, KSU picked up a road win against Clemson. It was the first road victory against an ACC opponent. Since 2015, the Owls are 2-2 against schools in the ACC.
• KSU has one win against an SEC team in its history and that was against Mississippi State in 2012. Last season, the Owls hosted Missouri and lost in a tough five-set match.
