The Kennesaw State men's track and field team will open the postseason at the ASUN Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 12-13 as the Owls will look to win their first conference title.

THE COMPETITION:
The Owls will compete against North Florida, Lipscomb, USC Upstate, Jacksonville and NJIT.
LAST TEAM OUTDOOR MEET
The Kennesaw State track and field teams closed out the regular season winning ten events, setting two school records and many strong performances on Friday at the WCU Invitational. The women's team won the meet scoring 187.5 points.

10 successful Owls are graduating the nest. In less than a month, the Kennesaw State women's track and field team will say farewell to one of their most successful senior classes in program history. The class which consist of

NEXT UP:
» Athletes that are in the top 48 in the East Region in an event will get the opportunity to compete in the preliminary rounds for the NCAA Championships. Combined eventers must be in the top 24 of the NCAA Rankings to earn a spot at the NCAA National Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The preliminary rounds are May 25-27 at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex in Lexington, Kentucky for the NCAA East Region.
NEWS AND NOTES:
» The women's team leads the ASUN in 9 of 21 events headed into action this weekend.
Jocselyn Powell leads in the 100m hurdles (13.51) and 400m hurdles (58.14). The Owls 4x100m relay (45.48) and 4x400m relay team (3:42.79) currently lead the ASUN.
Julija Tarvide is tied for the lead in the high jump with a leap of 1.73m (5'8).
Erica Sergeant leads in the pole vault with her clearance of 4.04m (13'5).
Jordan Gray leads the ASUN in the long jump (6.05m, 19'10.25) and the heptathlon with 5391 points.
Morgan Campbell leads in the triple jump with a leap of 12.39m (40'7.75).

Erica Sergeant was named ASUN Field Athlete of the Week after her performance at the WCU Invitational. Sergeant was tabbed ASUN Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. She won the pole vault after clearing 4.04m (13'3). That vault set a new school record breaking the record she had set a week earlier at the Virginia Challenge. That vault leads the ASUN by one foot four inches and ranks 29th in the NCAA East Region and 69th in the NCAA this season.
» Owls are currently ranked in the top 48 in the NCAA East Region.
Jocselyn Powell ranks 14
th in the 400m hurdles and 39
th in the 400m hurdles.
Julija Tarvide ranks 31
st in the high jump while Erica Sergeant is 33
rd in the pole vault.
Jordan Gray ranks 25
th in the NCAA in the heptathlon this season.
