THE STORYLINE:Â
· After falling down by seven goals in the first 17 minutes of the game, Kennesaw State mounted a huge comeback to defeat the Furman Paladins 13-12 in the final game of the season. The Owls celebrated senior day and the seniors led the charge combining to score 10 of the 13 goals on the day. The seven-goal comeback is the largest in school history.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
· Furman took control immediately scoring the first seven goals of the game to lead 7-0 with 13:18 remaining in the first half.
· Facing the deficit, KSU began its comeback on
Taylor McGhee's first goal of the day. Once the Owls got one to fall, the gates opened up as they went on to score five straight goals to pull the Paladins back within 8-5 at halftime.
· With the momentum on their side, Kennesaw State continued to put pressure on Furman scoring the first three goals of the second half to even things up at eight.
· After the Paladins went back ahead by one, the Owls went on another run scoring three more to take their first lead of the day and go up 11-9 in the contest.
· Furman didn't give up though as they battled back to tie up the game at 11 with 6:50 remaining on the clock.
· Led by their seniors and some clutch saves from
Alex Bunn, the Owls scored two more to gain a two-goal advantage once again. Kennesaw State was then able to run enough time off the clock to secure the one-goal victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:Â
· The win is the eighth of the season for Kennesaw State pushes the new record for wins out even further. The previous record for wins was five.
· The Owls finish the season with a 7-4 record at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
· This is the first victory against Furman for Kennesaw State. They were 0-4 against the Paladins coming into today's game.
· The seniors combined to score on 10 of the 13 goals scored in today's game to lead the largest comeback in school history.
· After falling down 7-0, KSU went on an 11-2 run to take the lead, but then used two more goals from
Haley Swift and
Sydney Farwick to secure the victory.
· Bunn once again subbed in and came up with some huge saves in the net finishing the game with six.
