Saturday Results

Gainesville, Fla. - The Kennesaw State men's and women's track teams set three school records and had more solid performances on the final day of competition at the Florida Relays at the Percy Beard Track.
   
Women's Top Performances

• The women's 4x100m short hurdle relay team of Jirah Simpkins, Jordan Gray, Laura-Maria Oja and Jocselyn Powell ran a time of 56.18 to set a new school record and finish fourth overall.
• The women's 4x200m relay team of Jordan Gray, Maileka Slayton, Laura-Maria Oja and Hannah Wood set the school record with a time of 1:36.80 to finish 10^th amongst collegiate teams in the event.
• The women's 4x100m relay team of Laura-Maria Oja, Hannah Wood, Jessica Watkins, and Alex Andrews improved their ASUN-leading time to 45.69 seconds.
• Shakedra Robinson and Jordan Gray tied for second in the high jump after both cleared 1.68m (5'6.00).
• Morgan Campbell landed a leap of 12.01m (39'4.75) in the triple jump.

Men's Top Performances

• The Owls 4x200m relay team of Cameron Bolden, Chandler Nichols, Terrell Singleton and Sean Blassingame posted a school-record time of 1:25.63. 
• Dayo Akindele finished sixth amongst collegiate athletes in the triple jump with a leap of 15.24m (50'0.00).  
• Former Owl All-American Andre Dorsey finished third amongst professionals in the triple jump after landing a jump of 15.43m (50'7.00).

Director of Track and Field Andy Eggerths Thoughts on the Weekend:
"I'm pleased with the many records and great efforts by most. For some we need to have greater focus in practice and not bail on efforts that aren't perfect but learn how to optimize those efforts, but that's on us coaches to demand excellence at all times." 

The Owls will return to action Saturday, April 8 at the North Florida Invitational at Hodges Stadium.
