Game Preview
Before heading into ASUN play, the Owls will look for their fourth win in a row as they host the Presbyterian Blue Hose on Monday, March 20 at 6 p.m.
It will be the third time the two teams have played against each other.
Kennesaw State Team Notes
• Kennesaw State has won three in row after defeating Army last Tuesday to put their record at 3-2 for the season.
• The Owls have been on an offensive tear during their winning streak averaging 19.3 goals per game during that stretch. For the season, they are averaging 14.0 per game.
• KSU has protected The Nest so far this season as they hold a 3-1 record in Fifth Third Bank Stadium defeating Gardner Webb, Radford and Army.
• KSU has been spreading the ball around as at least four players have scored multiple goals in three straight games. Through five games, the Owls already have five players that have scored in double-figures for the season and a sixth with seven goals.
•
Sydney Farwick scored the game-winning goal for the Owls against Army with 34 seconds remaining on the clock. The senior midfielder leads the team with 15 goals on the season.
• Farwick also leads the team in draw controls with 23, ground balls with 18 and caused turnovers with six. She has totaled 19 of those draw controls in the last three games as she set a new season-high for Kennesaw State with eight against Radford.
•
Connor Zophy cashed in three more goals for Kennesaw State against Army. She has scored a goal in four of the five games this season and has scored multiple goals in each game of the team's win streak.
•
Haley Swift had a career game against Army scoring four goals and dishing out eight assists giving her 18 points early in her sophomore season. As a freshman, Swift finished the year with 11 points.
• Two freshmen that have stepped up early in the season are
Izzy Palermo and
Emily Napierala. Palermo is third on the team with 10 goals and Napierala is fourth on the team in points with 13 points scoring seven goals and six assists.
• Since being at home, the Owls have been good on the draw winning 78-56. McGhee and Farwick have been key at winning that battle as the two seniors have combined to win 38 draw controls between the two of them.
• Defensively, Farwick, Palermo and
Laura Jordan lead the team with six caused turnovers. For the season, the Owls have caused 36 turnovers as a team.

Kennesaw State will begin ASUN play against Detroit up in Michigan on Friday, March 24 at 4 p.m.
