KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's basketball team got a huge 85-68 Saturday victory over the North Florida Ospreys in the KSU Convocation Center.
It was a complete team effort for the Owls as the team had 27 assists on 35 field goals for the game setting a new single-game assist record.
Kennesaw State started the game on a 23-2 to run in the first 10 minutes of action taking a commanding lead over the Ospreys.
UNF didn't lay over though as they began mounting a comeback chipping the lead down to nine as they trailed 42-33 at the break.
In the second half, North Florida cut the lead down to five four times, but Kennesaw State didn't let them get any closer than that.

Tyler Hooker steals fueled a thunderous dunk from
Jordan Jones and a layup by Hooker to spur on a 9-0 run to push the lead back up to 15 with under three to play ending any chance of an Osprey victory.
Jones had a career night pulling down a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. He also dished out five assists.
He wasn't the only one filling up the stat sheet as
Kendrick Ray finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
Nick Masterson had 16 points as well with a career high eight assists on the night.
The Owls offense wasn't the only thing clicking on Saturday night as KSU held North Florida's leading scorer Dallas Moore to 15 points. Coming into the game, he was second in the NCAA scoring 24.1 points per game.
Kennesaw State has one game remaining in the regular season and it's this Thursday, February 23 at 7 p.m. in the KSU Convocation Center against Lipscomb. The Owls currently sit in a tie for third in the ASUN standings with a chance to host a first round game at home.

- With the victory, Kennesaw State is 13-16 on the season. The 13 wins ties a Division I record for the Owls.
- KSU got its seventh conference victory tonight ensuring them of at least a .500 record in the ASUN for the second consecutive year.
- In the victory, Kennesaw State set a single-game record with 27 assists tonight on 35 field goals. Masterson set a career high with eight assists, Ray had six and Jones had five.
- Three players had double-doubles against North Florida. Aubrey Williams pulled down his 18th of the season and fifth in a row. Jones had a career night with 16 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double, and Ray was the third Owls with a double-double finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
- This is the second season in a row that Kennesaw State has split with North Florida.
- The Owls defense did a great job on UNF's leading scorer Dallas Moore. Coming into the game as the second highest scorer in the NCAA, Moore was held to 15 points.
- The Owls scored 85 points while only making two three pointers. Masterson made both outside shots.
