Final Results
Nashville, Tenn. –The Kennesaw State Track & Field teams wrapped up action at their final regular season meet at the Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University.
Competing against some of the nation's best programs the Owls performed well on the final day of the meet.
"After this final tune up, we are in good position headed into conference," said Director of Track & Field
Andy Eggerth. "Our 400m runners showed out today, but I thought we were solid across the board. Now there's just two weeks left of polishing and it's go time!"
Men's Highlights
- Jonathon Womack (48.91) and Braden Canamare (49.02) both ran their indoor personal-best times in the 400m.
- Dayo Akindele finished fifth overall in the long jump with an indoor personal-best jump of 7.41m (24'3.75).
- Akindele (8.04) and Terrell Singleton (8.07) both qualified for the 60m hurdle finals. Akindele's 8.04 was a personal-best time. In the final, Singleton grabbed third in 8.05 and Akindele was fourth in 8.06.
- Cameron Bolden ran a season-best time of 6.99m in the 60m-dash.
- The men's 4x400m relay team of Jonathon Womack, Nick Snowden, Braden Canamare and Sean Blassingame ran a season best time of 3:16.70 to finish eighth.
Women's Highlights
Former Owl
Andre Dorsey, who was competing in his second meet as a professional, won the long jump with a leap of 7.94m (26'0.75).
The Owls return to action at the ASUN Conference Championships February 23-24 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
