Preview
Kennesaw State will play its final game of 2017 by hosting Yale on Saturday, December 30 at 4 p.m.
 
The Owls hold a 3-10 record following a loss on the road to Mercer, but have won two of their last three at home against Bethune-Cookman and Samford.
 
KSU is 3-2 at home this season.
 
Promotions
Kennesaw State is offering a ticket deal to all first responders (Police, Fire, EMTs) along with Cobb EMC and Georgia Power employees for their hard work during the snow storm to keep the local community safe. All tickets will be $7 for those who present their Staff/Employee I.D. at the ticket window. This deal will be for the next two home men's basketball games.
 
Scouting Yale
Yale is 6-8 on the season and is currently on a three game losing streak. Their last loss came to Monmouth 85-64.
 
Yale's next two games are in Atlanta as they will take on Georgia Tech on January 6 after facing the Owls on December 30.
 
The Bulldogs are led by Miye One averaging 16.8 points per game. They have two other players that average in double figures on the season.
 
James Jones is in his 19th season with Yale. He is a two time Ivy League Coach of the Year.
 
Playing at Home
The Owls are 3-2 at home this season defeating Piedmont, Bethune-Cookman and Samford, while losing to Tennessee State in overtime.
 
Over the past two seasons, KSU has had a winning on their home court going 18-12 overall.
 
Masterson Heats Up in the Second Half
In the final 20 minutes of games in the KSU Convocation Center, Nick Masterson has been on fire making 17-24 shots.
 
In the five games at home, Masterson has averaged 9.2 points in the second half alone with his season high coming against Tennessee State with 17.
 
Scott Leads the Way on Offense
James Scott has stepped up on the offensive end leading the team averaging 17.5 points per game. He has scored in double figures in 11 of the 13 games so far this season.
 
He has scored at least 20 points in the last two games at home and has four 20-point games this season.
 
Jankovic Provides a Lift
Whether he's in the starting lineup or coming off the bench, Kosta Jankovic has provided an offensive lift for the Owls this season.
 
He has scored in double figures in seven games this season. He's the fourth leading scorer on the team averaging 9.3 points per game making 46.1 percent of his shots on the season.
 
Coming into this season, Jankovic had never scored in double figures in his career.
