Kennesaw State looks to have its first win streak of the season by hosting in-state foe Georgia Southern on Tuesday, December 18 at 7 p.m.

The Owls are coming off a victory over Bethune-Cookman last Saturday to push KSU's record to 2-1 in the KSU Convocation Center this season.

The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.

Scouting Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern is off to an 8-3 start and sits at 52 in the RPI with victories over Wake Forest and UC Bakersfield.

The Eagles are led by point guard Tookie Brown, who averages 16.3 points per game and leads the team with 57 assists and 26 steals.

Mark Byington is in his fifth season at Georgia Southern and has had success in Statesboro. The Eagles have finished in the top three in the Sun Belt standing the past three seasons.

Tough Non-Conference Schedule
Through the first 10 games of the season, Kennesaw State has played five teams in the top 100 based on RPI rankings and Georgia Southern will be the sixth.

Out of those six opponents in the top 100, Butler, Florida State and Texas Tech are all in the top 50.

Playing at Home
The Owls are 2-1 at home this season defeating Piedmont and Bethune-Cookman while losing to Tennessee State in overtime.

Over the past two seasons, KSU has had a winning on their home court going 17-11 overall.

This season Kennesaw State has averaged 77.3 points per game, which is 10 points more than their season average.

Hooker Sets Career High
Tyler Hooker had a career high with 23 points against Bethune-Cookman to go along with five steals.

The starting point guard is averaging 11.9 points per game this season, but since being put in the starting lineup, the redshirt sophomore is averaging 13.2 points per game and has scored in double figures in four of the five games.

Getting to the Free Throw Line
Kennesaw State was aggressive taking the ball to the basket against the Wildcats and it paid off as the Owls got to the free throw line 42 times with 36 of those opportunities coming in the second half.

KSU made 27 of those attempts giving them an 11-point edge over Bethune-Cookman, who only made 16 free throws.

Going to the line 42 times is the most since Kennesaw State went to the charity stripe 44 times against Chattanooga during the 2014-15 season. In that game against the Mocs, the Owls made 34 free throws.

The 27 free throws made is the most the Owls have made in a game in Skinner's three seasons as head coach.

Owls Spread the Ball Around
Five Kennesaw State players scored in double figures against Bethune-Cookman. That is the most Owls that have been in double figures this season.

They previously have had four double-figure scorers in four games this season.

Wilson Works his Way Back
After suffering a knee injury in the spring, Anthony Wilson worked hard in rehab to get himself back to help out his team and that showed up against Bethune Cookman.

In 16 minutes of action, Wilson had 13 points and nine rebounds. The 13 points was a career high for the sophomore.
