Preview
Kennesaw State returns home to play Bethune-Cookman on Saturday, December 15 at 7 p.m. in the KSU Convocation Center.
The Wildcats are 5-6 on the season coming off of a road loss to South Florida. They have one road win this season and it came at ASUN foe Jacksonville.
Last season, the two teams played in Daytona, Florida and Bethune-Cookman held off a late comeback attempt by the Owls to win 75-72.
The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.

- SANTA: From 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Santa will be making a visit to the KSU Convocation Center to take photos with those in attendance. Pictures taken by the official photographer will be available for upload via the "Kennesaw State Owls" Facebook page.
- ANTHEM/HALFTIME: Dunleith Elementary School and the Dunleith Dolphin Chorus will be performing the National Anthem and the Mt. Bethel Unicycle Team will be performing at Halftime.
- FREE FOOD: KSU Students will have the opportunity to receive a FREE HOTDOG or FREE POPCORN from the concession stand. (while supplies last).
Tough Non-Conference Schedule
Through the first nine games of the season, Kennesaw State has played six teams in the top 100 based on the KenPom rankings.
Out of those six opponents in the top 100, Butler, Florida State and Texas Tech are all in the top 50.
Guard Production
Kennesaw State's guards have carried the scoring load early in the 2017-18 season. The point guard and shooting guard combine to score 52 percent of the Owls points.
The shooting guard spot in the lineup played by
James Scott,
Nick Masterson or
Tristan Jarrett score 30.2 percent of the Owls points.
Playing at Home
The Owls are 1-1 at home this season defeating Piedmont while losing to Tennessee State in overtime.
Over the past two seasons, KSU has had a winning on their home court going 16-11 overall.
This season Kennesaw State has averaged 75.5 points per game, which is nine points more than their season average.
Scott Leads the Way on Offense
Scott has stepped up on the offensive end leading the team averaging 16.1 points per game. He has scored in double figures in eight of the nine games so far and has two twenty-point games.
Scott has led the team in scoring in six games this season.
Against Texas Tech, he had 11 of the teams 19 points at halftime.
On the Road
Through November, Kennesaw State only played at home two times as opposed to seven road games. The next home game for KSU will be December 16 against Bethune-Cookman.
Fortunately, the Owls will be home the next five out of six games with the final game in that stretch coming in the ASUN opener against Lipscomb.
