Game Preview
Kennesaw State has two weekends left in its regular season and its final weekend at home this Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the Owls will take on North Florida on Staff Appreciation Night followed by playing Jacksonville on Senior Night.
The Owls defeated North Florida on the road earlier in the season in four sets.
UNF currently sits at 3-7 and in a tie for fifth in the ASUN.
Jacksonville is tied with Kennesaw State at 9-1 in the standings. The Dolphins are the only team to beat the Owls in conference play this season.
Promotions
Friday evening will also be "Faculty/Staff Night" where each student athlete will be recognizing a professor on the court prior to the match. Each student athlete invited 2-3 professors of their choosing to partake in the ceremony prior to the match.
Kennesaw State Team Notes
• After sweeping last weekend on the road at NJIT and USC Upstate, Kennesaw State sits at 15-4 and 9-1 in the ASUN. They are tied at the top of the standings in the ASUN with Jacksonville going into the final two weekends.
• The Owls have been dominant this season on the court with sweeps in 10 of the teams 15 wins this season.
• The KSU Convocation Center has been kind to the Owls this season as the team is 8-0 on their home court. Kennesaw State has never had a perfect record on their home floor throughout an entire season.
• This weekend is senior weekend and KSU will be honoring seven seniors on Saturday night. The past three seasons the Owls are 52-24 overall, 30-8 in ASUN play, 24-6 at home and hung the first Division I banner in KSU Convocation Center after winning the ASUN regular-season championship in 2016.
• The Owls only blemish during the ASUN season was to Jacksonville on the road. Kennesaw State will host the Dolphins on Saturday night in a clash for first place. Since losing that match, KSU has the longest winning streak in the ASUN at six matches.
• Kennesaw State and Jacksonville have a two-match lead over third place FGCU in the ASUN standings. Jacksonville will play Lipscomb on Friday night before traveling to Kennesaw State on Saturday night. If the Owls go 2-0 this weekend and the Dolphins go 0-2, KSU will clinch at least a share of the ASUN regular season Championship for the second straight season.
• Saturday night will be a battle of who can get kills as both Kennesaw State and Jacksonville are the top two teams in the league in opponent hitting percentage. The Owls hold their opponents to a .160 mark and the Dolphins hold their opponents to hitting an average of .180.
• Kennesaw State sits at 59th in the RPI out of 334 teams.
• The Owls are in the top three in five of the seven statistical categories in the ASUN.
• Kennesaw State is second in the ASUN in hitting percentage. A big reason for that is how well senior setter
Kristi Piedimonte spreads it around. KSU has four players with at least 145 kills.
•
Anaiah Boyer once again leads the Owls in kills with 202 on the season. She's fourth in the ASUN in kills per set averaging 3.42.

The Owls will finish the regular season on the road at Stetson on Friday, November 10 and then will play FGCU on Saturday, November 11.
