ATLANTA – A young Kennesaw State team had a difficult time solving the quickness and full court pressure applied by Georgia Tech, falling 86-48 to the Yellow Jackets Wednesday at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta.

Freshman Kamiyah Street led the Owls (0-3) with 15 points as nine different players scored for KSU. Zaire O'Neil led all players with 16 points and 10 rebounds to pace Georgia Tech (3-0).

THE STORYLINE
The Yellow Jackets used a 21-2 first-quarter run to take control of the game, capitalizing on nine Owl turnovers to build a 27-9 lead after the opening 10 minutes. Georgia Tech went into halftime with a 48-21 lead, 30-15 rebounding advantage, and outscored KSU 30-8 off the bench in the first half.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Freshman guard Breanna Hoover, who missed the first two games of the season recovering from an injury, made her collegiate debut and scored three points in 14 minutes of action. Sophomore Carlotta Gianolla, whose play in the first two games was limited to nine minutes while working her way back from an injury, played a season-high 20 minutes and finished with six points. Â

NEXT UP
The Owls will play their fourth game in the span of eight days when they travel to Greenville, S.C. to face Furman on Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.
