GREENVILLE, S.C.  – Kamiyah Street scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Kennesaw State women's basketball team during a 78-59 loss at Furman Saturday afternoon.

Street connected on 12-of-21 field goal attempts to finish two points shy of the KSU freshman record set by current Owls sophomore Carlotta Gianolla, who tallied 29 versus Jacksonville last season.

STORYLINE
The Owls (0-4) ran into a hot-shooting team as Furman (3-0) connected on 56.6 percent (30-for-53) of its field goal attempts, including 6-of-14 from behind the three-point arc. The Paladins were paced by Cierra Carter and Le'Jzae Davidson, who scored 23 and 22 points, respectively. Meanwhile, Street was the only Owl to score in double figures.

After the two teams played to a 16-16 tie in the first quarter, Furman outscored Kennesaw State 21-11Â in the second quarter. The Paladins shot 71.4 percent (10-for-14) from the field, while the Owls converted just 5-of-12 (41.7 percent) of their field goal attempts.

Kennesaw State fell to 0-4 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday when it visits Presbyterian beginning at 7 p.m.
