QUOTING THE COACH
"The ladies really improved since playing Clemson. We battled each quarter, but Ole Miss's size and depth wore us down," head coach
Agnus Berenato said. "I thought Kamiyah Street played extremely well and set the tempo early for us. Clara (Young) did a good job of running the team while our new players got another taste of Power 5 Conference basketball. Tonight's game was great exposure for KSU and I was happy that we were not intimidated by Ole Miss's size, strength and speed. Games like this will help us later in the year."
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Ole Miss outscored KSU 46-24 in the paint and outrebounded the Owls, 44-27. Kennesaw State totaled 12 steals, with Street, Poole and Iceis Walker collecting three steals each. The Rebels' depth was a factor as their bench outscored KSU's, 25-9.
