KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State senior defender
Abby Roth was named the ASUN Conference women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday (Oct. 23). It marks the second time this season she has been honored.
Roth's play in the back helped the Owls shut out ASUN Conference regular season co-champion Lipscomb, 1-0, on Saturday. In addition to her defensive efforts, Roth assisted on the game-winning goal that helped KSU clinch an ASUN Championship berth and the No. 4 seed.
The Columbus, Ga. native concluded the regular season with seven points, scoring three goals and adding an assist.
The Owls open ASUN Conference Championship play on Sunday (Oct. 29) when they host North Florida in a quarterfinal match at Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Kickoff is 1 p.m. (ET) and admission is free. The contest will also be streamed on Facebook Live.
