Game Preview
The Kennesaw State women's soccer team closes out its regular season on Saturday when it travels to Nashville, Tenn. to take on Lipscomb beginning at 7 p.m. (ET).
Â
What's On The Line
The Owls (7-6-3, 2-3-1) can secure an ASUN Tournament berth with a win over the Bisons (8-5-3, 5-0-1), who clinched the tournament's top seed with its victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday. KSU can also clinch a playoff spot with a loss or a tie, and series of results from other matches falling in their favor.
Â
Contreras Named ASUN Player of the Week
Sophomore
Isabella Contreras was tabbed the ASUN Conference's Player of the Week for her performance during a 2-1 victory over NJIT last Saturday. The West Palm Beach, Fla. native scored two second-half goals to spark the Owls' come-from-behind win. It was her first career multiple goal game, and her first ASUN weekly honor.
Â
Quoting Head Coach Benji Walton
"Lipscomb is a solid team. A lot of people picked them to win the whole thing this year and they've clinched the No. 1 seed in the tournament," head coach
Benji Walton said. "They're a veteran group and you can never rule them out. We have to go to their place, and if you want to go to the playoffs, you have to battle no matter what the circumstances are. We know we have our hands full, but I know we are excited for the challenge."
