ASUN Release

KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State sophomore Isabella Contreras was named the ASUN Conference women's soccer Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday (Oct. 16).

Contreras was instrumental in the Owls' 2-1 victory over NJIT on Saturday that kept Kennesaw State's ASUN Conference Tournament hopes alive.

The West Palm Beach, Fla. native scored two second-half goals to spark the Owls to the come-from-behind victory. It marked the first multiple-goal game of her career.

Contreras becomes the third KSU player to earn an ASUN Conference weekly honor, joining senior defender Abby Roth and freshman goalkeeper Tiffany Sornpao, who were selected Defensive Player of the Week earlier this season.

Kennesaw State closes out its regular season on Saturday when it travels to Nashville, Tenn. to take on Lipscomb at 7 p.m. (ET).
