The Owls hit .463 as a team, which is the second highest in a match ever at Kennesaw State.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Maddie Jones' serve gave NJIT trouble all night, but early on it allowed Kennesaw State to take a 6-1 lead out of the gate. Later in the set, KSU went on a 7-2 run to go up 22-12 and closed out the set 25-15.

In the second set, Jones once again led the Owls out to a huge lead at 9-3 serving. KSU won eight straight points and didn't let the Highlanders back in the set winning 11 of the final 14 points to go up 2-0 in the match.

Kennesaw State got out to an early lead again in the third going on a 14-3 run with Lexi Broadwater leading the way at setter. The Owls closed out the match with an Anaiah Boyer kill to move to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the ASUN.

SCHUNZEL QUOTE
"The thing I'm happiest about tonight was the high level of play in set one to the very last point in set three. That doesn't just happen. We had great leadership tonight, stayed really focused and were very intentional about playing good, consistent volleyball all night long. To put up a .463 hitting percentage as a team is very impressive, and I'm really proud of our team handled this entire match tonight."
