Jacksonville, Ala. – The Kennesaw State cross country teams closed out their regular season at the Crimson Classic on Friday, October 13 at the Harry Pritchett Running Park.
In the women's 6k race, KSU was led by junior
Caitlyn Farrell who took 71st with a time of 22:03.8.
Saidah Grant was the next Owl to finish, finishing 89th in 22:20.2.
Katie Meyer posted a time of 23:00.2 to finish 134th.
Reagan Poteet grabbed 209
th with a time of 24:07.2, while
Brooke Aumer took 234th in 24:47.1.
Bonnie McKinnon crossed the line in 25:38.4 to finish 253
rd, while
Morgan Haney ran a time of 25:51.6 to finish 256
th. The women's team finished 22nd overall.
In the men's 8k race,
Logan Poteet finished 82nd with a time of 26:06.0.
Ben Patterson ran a time of 26:29.6 to finish 113
th, while
Chase Kennedy finished 130th in 26:48.4. The final Owl to cross the finish line was
Jordan Hand who grabbed a 174
th-place finish in 27:34.6.
Coach Poteet on the Teams Performances Today
"I thought we had some good performances today and some we still need to find the right formula for going to into conference in two weeks.
"I thought our effort was there today which was good to see."

- The Crimson Classic marked the first time that
Katie Meyer, Regan Poteet,
Brooke Aumer and
Morgan Haney had competed in a 6K race.

Caitlyn Farrell and
Saidah Grant posted their career-best times in a 6K race.
- Today marked the fifth time that Farrell has been the Owls top finisher in a meet and the second time that Poteet has been the Owls top finisher in a meet this season.
Next up, the Owls will return to action Saturday, October 28 at the ASUN Conference Championships at Sam Smith Park in Cartersville, Ga.
