Game Preview
The Owls begin ASUN play at Lipscomb on Saturday, January 7 at 5 p.m. in Allen Arena. The game will be broadcasted on ESPN3.

Last season, Kennesaw State snapped a 10-game losing streak to Lipscomb with a 102-86 to begin conference play.

Later in 2015-16 season, the Owls swept Lipscomb with a victory on the road to cap the regular season. It was the first time in school history KSU swept the Bisons.

Scouting Lipscomb
Lipscomb is 8-9 entering ASUN play and currently on a four game winning streak. The latest victory came against NAIA opponent Fisk, where the Bisons hung 126 on the board to set a school record. During the four-game winning streak, Lipscomb also topped Missouri.

The Bisons returned four starters from a season ago including Nathan Moran, Josh Williams and Garrison Matthews.

Casey Alexander is in his fourth season with Lipscomb.

Nation Leaders
Kendrick Ray, Nick Masterson and Aubrey Williams worked hard in the offseason to improve their game and it's showing up on the court as all three are ranked toward the top in the nation in some statistical categories.

After posting an average of 28.0 points per game in the Gotham Classic, Ray is 10th in the nation averaging 22.6 points per game. He has posted four 30-point performances, 10 20-point performances and has been in double figures in every game this season.

Masterson has been deadly from long range as he has made 46 of 92 for a 50 percent clip. That mark is second in the ASUN and ninth in the country.

Williams has been a force on the boards grabbing 10.5 per game putting him 19th in the country. He has nine double-doubles this season already. His career high came against Brewton Parker earlier in the season when he pulled down 20.

Freshmen Boosting Bench Play
Five freshmen have made an impact on the floor this season in some way.

Johannes Nielsen has scored in double figures four times and shoots at an incredibly consistent rate going 40-64 from the floor making 62.5 percent of his shots. Against N.C. A&T, Nielsen scored eight of his 11 points in the final four minutes to help the Owls secure the victory.

In seven games, James Scott is averaging 8.7 points per game and has scored in double figures three times in around 17 minutes per game. Per 40 minutes of action, Scott is averaging 21.0 points per game.

Against Tennessee State, Zach Cameron had four blocks in 10 minutes of action. The 6'10" freshman is third on the team in blocks.

1,000 Career Points
After setting a single-season record with 579 points in his first season at Kennesaw State, Ray needed 11 points against North Georgia and got just that surpassing the 1,000 career points mark.

In his career at KSU and Quinnipiac, Ray has accumulated 1,027 points with 940 coming at KSU and 87 happening at Quinnipiac.

Free Throws
The Owls take advantage at the free throw line shooting .726 as a team and are second in the ASUN. There are seven players with over a 70 percent clip from the line and three over 80 percent.

In the past six games, KSU has five players shooting over 80 percent from the charity stripe and are shooting .786 from the line as a team.
