Game Preview
Kennesaw State will look to get a split this weekend on the road at Jacksonville on Saturday, January 21 at 7 p.m. Last season, KSU lost in Swisher Gymnasium, but topped the Dolphins in Kennesaw.

Coming into the game, the Dolphins hold the edge in the series, but KSU has won three of the last four.

Scouting Jacksonville
JU is led by JR Holder, who scores 17.3 points per game, but is has others that can score. Darius Dawkins scored over 40 points in a game earlier in the season.

Tony Jasick is in his third season at Jacksonville as head coach.

Battle Tested
The Owls have been in nine games this season that have been within four points.

Despite being 1-3 in the ASUN play, the Owls currently hold the third best point differential at +2.8. In the teams three losses, they have lost by a combined eight points.

Smart Outside Shooting
Kennesaw State doesn't shoot a lot of threes, but when they do it's usually a good shot leading to a high shooting percentage from behind the arc. The Owls are second in the nation shooting 43.7 percent going 138-316 from three-point land.

A big part of the high percentage is the players stick to their roles on the court. Only four players have made a three pointer for Kennesaw State with Masterson and Ray making almost all of them. The two have combined to make 118 of the 138 that the team has made.

Masterson of the Three
Nick Masterson has been on fire lately. He is averaging 12.8 points per game with a 46.6 percentage from the floor and 50.9 percent from behind the arc.

Overall Masterson has already made 57 three pointers this season compared to last year where he only made 31.

He's not only scoring the ball, but setting up his teammates as well. He leads KSU with 63 assists this season, and since conference play started leads the ASUN with an assist to turnover ratio of 7.5.

Sharing the Ball
In eight of the last nine games, Kennesaw State has had more assists than turnovers.

Against North Georgia and Lipscomb, the Owls had a season high 21 assists. Overall, KSU has had over 20 assists in four games this season.
