Kennesaw State opens ASUN Conference play this weekend when it welcomes Lipscomb to Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Saturday (Sept. 24). Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The Owls, who are 5-4-1 on the season, are coming off a 1-0 victory over Winthrop on Sunday (Sept. 18).

Lipscomb comes into this weekend's play with a 6-3-1 mark and has lost two in a row, including a 2-1 setback at Arkansas on Sunday. Â

Game Promotion
Saturday's contest will mark International Night. All fans are encouraged to wear their favorite soccer jersey. There will be free scarves given away to the first 200 fans, international food samples, and the chance to win a gift card to the KSU Bookstore.

Story Line
• A win against Lipscomb will be the sixth of the season for the Owls and equal their win total from a year ago when they posted a 6-10-3 mark.

• The Owls and Bisons are opening ASUN play for the fourth consecutive season and Lipscomb has won two of the previous three meetings. KSU is seeking to go 1-0 in conference play for the first time since defeating Lipscomb, 2-1, at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in 2013.

• The Bisons, who are 6-3-1, are seeking to snap a two-match losing streak after falling to Cincinnati (4-0) and Arkansas (2-1). Lipscomb is led by freshman forward Olivia Doak, who tops the club with 13 points (6 goals, 1 assist).

Series Versus Lipscomb
• Kennesaw State leads the all-time series 10-3. The two teams have split their last two meetings, with the Bisons recording a 2-1 double overtime victory in Nashville in 2015. The Owls posted a 1-0 double overtime win in the semifinals of the 2014 ASUN Tournament.

• An early goal by senior
Maggie Gaughan, solid defense and strong goalkeeping by junior
Ashley Zambetti paced the Owls to a 1-0 victory over Winthrop Sunday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

• Gaughan's first goal of the season came at the 5:59 mark and held up as Zambetti recorded four saves.

The Owls continue ASUN play next weekend when they travel to Jacksonville, Fla. to face North Florida on Friday (Sept. 30) before meeting Jacksonville on Sunday (Oct. 2)
