Kennesaw State returns to action this weekend when it travels to Birmingham, Ala. to take on Samford at Samford Track and Soccer Stadium beginning at 8 p.m. (ET).

The Owls, who are 4-3-1 on the season, are coming off a tough 1-0 setback at Georgia on Sunday.

Samford is currently 3-2-2 and has won two in a row, following 1-0 victories over Baylor (Sept. 9) and Alabama (Sept. 13).Â

Story Line
Kennesaw State is looking to get back on the winning track after suffering a pair of defeats at Georgia Southern (3-2) and Georgia (1-0) last weekend. The Owls, who will be concluding a stretch of five straight road contests, are just two victories shy of equaling their win total from a year ago when they posted a 6-10-3 mark.Â

Scouting Samford
• The Bulldogs are 3-2-2 and have a three-match unbeaten streak, recording a 2-0-1 mark versus Rice (3-3), Baylor (1-0) and Alabama (1-0). Senior forward Jermaine Seoposenwe leads Samford with 11 points (4 goals, 3 assists).

Series Versus Samford
• Samford leads the all-time series, 5-2, and recorded a 5-2 victory over Kennesaw State at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in 2015. The Owls registered a 4-2 win over the Bulldogs in Birmingham in 2014.

Georgia Review
• A solid overall effort came up just short as Georgia scored a late second-half goal to edge Kennesaw State, 1-0, Sunday night in Athens. The Bulldogs finally broke through for the game-winner when Taylor Donohue converted a shot from the top of the box with just under 16 minutes remaining in regulation.

• Kennesaw State (4-3-1) withstood an attacking Georgia (3-4-1) team, receiving strong play from its backline and outstanding goalkeeping by junior
Ashley Zambetti, who registered a career-high 13 saves.
