Kennesaw State will wrap up non-conference play at Jacksonville State this weekend with four matches in a little over 24 hours. The Owls will take on Evansville, Jacksonville State, Nicholls State and Louisiana Monroe. Both days Kennesaw State will play matches at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. eastern time.

Kennesaw State Team Notes
• The Owls went 1-2 at the Georgia Challenge after defeating Georgia State in four sets. KSU pushed Georgia Tech to five sets on their home floor before falling to the Yellow Jackets and dropped their tournament opening match to Georgia.
• As a team, Kennesaw State hit .329 against Georgia State marking the highest clip for the team this season. The Owls had 64 kills and only 13 errors.
• Sophomore
Sydni Shelton had one of the best offensive matches in Kennesaw State history finishing with 26 kills hitting .469. The 26 kills is second most ever in a KSU match and is a career high for Shelton. Her previous career high was 23 against USC Upstate a season ago.

Katarina Morton has been the defensive anchor for the Owls as she has 232 digs through KSU's 10 matches this season averaging 5.80 per set. She has 20-plus digs in eight of the 10 matches this season and has eclipsed the 30-dig mark once.
• Morton was named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week after the opening weekend of the season. She landed on the Kennesaw State Invitational All-Tournament Team after finishing with 19, 22 and 27 digs for the weekend.

Liesl Engelbrecht has been dominant at times to start her sophomore season. She sits first on the team in blocks with 34.0 and is third on the team in kills with 78. Engelbrecht leads the team and is second in the ASUN hitting .312 on the season.

Kelly Marcinek is the career leader in the ASUN in kills with 957. If she reaches 1,000 kills, she will be the second Kennesaw State player ever to eclipse the mark. Sabrita Gulley is the other Owl to pass 1,000 kills finishing her career with 1,240.
• In the match against Georgia State,
Kristi Piedimonte totaled 48 assists in the four sets. It's the second match this season she has averaged 12.0 assists per set. Piedimonte currently sits second in the ASUN averaging 9.31 assists per set.

Anaiah Boyer leads the team in kills with 102. She has recently hit her stride in not only having double-digit kills in four straight matches, but also having four double-doubles. Against Georgia State, she finished with 16 digs. That is the third most digs she has had in a match in her career.

The Owls will begin ASUN play against their new travel partner, the Lipscomb Bisons in a repeat of the 2015 ASUN Championship match.
