First Place at Stake
- The Owls will take their 10-2 first-place record into Jacksonville for a pivotal three-game weekend series.
- The Dolphins sit at 9-3 and are behind KSU for first place in the Atlantic Sun, coming off its first series sweep over FGCU and then taking two-of-three from Stetson.
- The last time the Owls were in Jacksonville was in 2014, where the Dolphins took two of three.

Austin Upshaw hit his sixth and seventh home runs of the season over the weekend series against NJIT and leads the Owls in long balls.
- The sophomore broke his 11-game hitting streak on April 26, but has recorded a hit in 12 of his last 13 games.
- During the stretch, Upshaw is batting .543 with 14 hits, three doubles, one triple and two home runs.
- Upshaw highlighted his streak with a four-hit performance against USC Upstate on Friday night in the series opener – marking a career high.
- In fact, Upshaw batted .667 (10-15) over his last four games and hit an incredible .727 (8-for-10) against USC Upstate, and batted .615 against Lipscomb.

Corey Greeson also broke his 10-game hitting streak on April 27 against Georgia State, but he has recorded a hit in 12 of his last 14 games entering the weekend.
- Greeson batted .543 with five doubles, one home run and 19 total hits. He is slugging .771 and has a .619 on-base percentage during the span.
- Overall, Greeson ranks third on the team with a .364 batting average. He is tied on the team with eight doubles and ranks third on the team with four home runs.
Heating up for May
- The Owls have, in fact, gone 11-6 in the month of April – marking the best month by a landslide for KSU in 2016.
- Kennesaw State batted .282 (166-588) with 26 doubles, two triples and 10 home runs while totaling 89 RBI.
- KSU has outscored opponents 97-81 during the stretch and has out-hit opponents 166-147.
- The Owls are slugging .384 and has compiled a .360 on-base percentage.

- At 10-2 in A-Sun play, KSU equaled the best start after four league series since 2014 when Lipscomb and Mercer both opened with 10-2 marks. The Bisons would continue to a 12-2 A-Sun record after 14 games.
- The Owls have won each of their four A-Sun weekend series, taking two-of-three from UNF and Lipscomb and swept NJIT and USC Upstate.
- KSU's eight-game conference win streak was snapped on Sunday as Lipscomb avoided a sweep with a 11-9 13-inning victory over the Owls.
