Three members of the Kennesaw State track and field team wrapped up action on the final day of the NCAA East Track and Field Preliminaries at Hodges Stadium on the campus of the University of North Florida on Saturday.

Andre Dorsey cleared the bar at 2.17m (7-1.5) which was good enough for seventh overall to advance him to the high jump final of the NCAA Championships which will take place on Friday, June 10 in Eugene Oregon. That jump tied his season best jump he jumped at the Yellow Jacket Invitational and the Atlantic Sun Championship. Dorsey came up short of qualifying in all three jumping events after a jump of 15.14m (49'8.25) in the triple jump saw him take home 32nd place.

Dayo Akindele jumped 14.87m (48'9.5) in the triple jump which was good for 41st place. The freshman ends his outdoor season posting many lifetime best performances, finishing his first decathlon, and earning three medals at the Atlantic Sun Championship.

Junior Morgan Campbell jumped 12.49m (40'11.75) to finish 34th overall in the triple jump. The junior concludes her season having set the school record in the long jump and triple jump and winning a pair of medals at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships.

Dorsey will compete in the finals of the long jump on Wednesday, May 8 and the high jump on May 10 at the NCAA Championship in Eugene, Oregon.
