Feeling Good in the Sun
- Kennesaw State took two-of-three from Jacksonville last weekend, winning its first five A-Sun weekends of the season.
- For the first time since joining the conference in 2006, the Owls have won their first five series in conference play.
- The Owls are now two games clear of Jacksonville at 12-3 with two weeks remaining, fighting for their first regular-season championship title in Atlantic Sun Conference history.

Atlantic Sun Conference Play
- The Owls hold an impressive 12-3 mark in conference play, going 7-2 at home and an impressive 5-1 on the road. Â
- Kennesaw State totaled 41 hits (seven doubles, one triple, one HR) last weekend against Jacksonville.
- The Owls are now batting .320 (174-543) in conference play, and currently rank second in the league with an overall batting average of .290.
- Two Owls –
Corey Greeson (.433) and
Austin Upshaw (.426) –are batting over .400 in conference play, and KSU has a total of seven hitters batting over .300.
- Kennesaw State has out-hit opponents 174-135 in conference play and outscored opponents 107-72 to help earn a 12-3 record.
- The Owls have posted a 4.09 ERA with 128 strikeouts to 53 walks overall as a staff.

Richard Lovelady has 11 appearances in conference play, posting a 1-0 mark and a 1.10 ERA in 16.1 innings of work out of the pen.

- In fact, Lovelady leads the team with 32 appearances, holding a 3-3 record and a 3.27 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched.
- Lovelady's 32 appearances rank second in the NCAA, behind Conard Broom of Southern.
-Â The lefty has 46 strikeouts and 22 walks while opponents are batting just .186 against him on the mound.

Williams Coming Alive

Grant Williams had his best weekend of the season, totaling a team-high seven hits against Jacksonville and a .538 batting average.
- Williams totaled three doubles and five RBI while slugging .769 and a on-base percentage of .571 over the weekend against the Dolphins.
- Over his last five games, Williams is batting .478 (11-23) with four doubles and a slugging percentage of .652.
- Overall, Williams is batting .281 (47-167) with six doubles, two triples and a home run on the season. He has slugged for .359 and a OB of .351.

Have Yourself a Night, Greeson
- Greeson, a Calhoun, Ga. native, knocked in a career-high six RBI over the first six innings, accounting for two RBI in the second, fourth and in the sixth frame – which was a two-run home run, his fifth of the season.

Corey Greeson's six RBI fell one shy for a single-game record of seven set by Andy Chriscaden in 2012.
- Overall, Greeson is batting a team-high .377 (49-130) with a team-best 10 doubles and second with five home runs. He is slugging .569 and has a OB% of .441.

Owl Facts
- At 12-3 in A-Sun play, KSU equaled the best start after five league series since 2014 when Lipscomb and Mercer both opened with 10-2 marks. The Bisons would continue to a 12-2 A-Sun record after 14 games.
- The Owls have won each of their five A-Sun weekend series, taking two-of-three from UNF, Lipscomb and Jacksonville and swept NJIT and USC Upstate. Â
- KSU's eight-game conference win streak was snapped on Sunday as Lipscomb avoided a sweep with a 11-9 13-inning victory over the Owls.

Austin Upshaw collected his second A-Sun Player of the Week accolade after batting .667 with 10 hits against USC Upstate. He tallied four multi-hit games including a 4-4 effort in the series opener at USC Upstate.
- The Owls have won eight of their last 11 home games at Stillwell Stadium and six of their last nine games on the road – including a 5-1 mark in conference play.
- With the win over Auburn Wednesday, the Owls swept the Tigers in a season series for the first time in program history, and marked the second time since turning D-I in 2006 to sweep an SEC opponent in a season.

Winning the regionals at Florida State in 2014.

Winning the iron owl and as a team winning the regionals at Florida State.

KSUOWLS.COM: Funniest thing that happened to you at KSU?
I was on first base at USC Upstate and I was stealing. The batter hit a pop up so I had to go back to first and on the way back I tripped and had to crawl back to first.

KSUOWLS.COM: Favorite memory of a teammate/coach acting funny?
We were huddled up for practice one day and I guess Coach Sansing was late, so instead of going around the fence in left he jumped and rolled over it.

Being on the first team to go to a Super Regional here and create a legacy.

Getting to see and joke around with my teammates every single day.

Someone who always went out and played the game hard… even if that meant hewould get hurt doing it!

Getting to dogpile at Florida State when we won the Tallahassee Regional in 2014
KSUOWLS.COM: What was your best accomplishment as an individual and with your teammates?
Individual- Either hitting the game tying homerun in the 2014 in the ASUN Championship or the diving play I made versus Georgia Tech in 2015 to start the game
Team- Making it to the Super Regionals versus Lousiville
KSUOWLS.COM: Funniest thing that happened to you at KSU?
Wasn't funny at the time when it happened, but when Bo Way and I had a serious collision in the outfield. It brought us closer together and now we always joke about who won that battle!
KSUOWLS.COM: Favorite memory of a teammate acting funny?
Justin McCalvin and I trying to teach James Connell how to dance!
KSUOWLS.COM: Who had the strangest memory of a pregame routine?
Matt Mixon, he would eat a whole box of chewy bars before the game!
KSUOWLS.COM: Favorite bus ride, or favorite bus trip that you will always remember?
The bus rides during conference tournament in 2014. We would get hype and it was funny seeing some of my teammates trying to dance!
