A-Sun Play Heating Up- The Owls have jumped out to first place in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings, holding a 5-1 record after two weeks taking 2-of-3 from North Florida before sweeping NJIT last weekend.
- In the A-Sun, Kennesaw State is second in batting average (.284) and second in slugging percentage (.411).
- In face, the Owls find themselves ranked third or higher in runs scored (193, 3
rd), hits (325, 2
nd), and runs batted in (176, 3
rd).
- KSU had another big weekend hitting home runs and rank second in the conference with 29, behind UNF's 30.
- The Owls also have had success playing small ball, ranking first in the conference in sac bunts (28) and sac flies (15).

Non-Conference Play vs. Conference- The Owls have jumped out to first place in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings, holding a 5-1 record after two weeks, while holding a 9-18 mark in non-conference play.
- KSU is batting .291 in conference action with 32 runs and 57 hits (13 extra) and slugging .429.
- The Owls are batting .283 with 161 runs and a .408 slugging percentage in non-conference action.
- Kennesaw State has already totaled seven home runs in conference play in six games.

April Success - The Owls have had their best success this season in April, posting a 5-2 mark entering the week.
- Kennesaw State is batting .273 in the month of April, totaling 34 runs and 62 hits while slugging .405.
- KSU has, in fact, totaled 15 extra base hits including seven doubles and seven home runs.
- Pitching has become a strength in April as well, posting a team ERA of 3.19 in seven games.
- The staff has totaled 43 strikeouts to just 19 walks and hitters have tallied a .232 batting average against. Â

Helms Leading The Way - Sophomore
Griffin Helms continues his hot bat, entering the week with a team-high .426 batting average.
- Helms tied his career-high with four hits in a single game last weekend against NJIT on Saturday, finishing 4-for-5 at the plate.
- The sophomore also hit his second career home run over the weekend.
- In 20 games, Helms has gone 26-for-61 at the dish with two home runs and 13 RBI.

Up, Up and Away-
Austin Upshaw hit his sixth and seventh home runs of the season over the weekend series against NJIT.
- The sophomore leads the Owls in home runs and ranks third in the A-Sun.
- Upshaw is currently on a three-game hitting streak for the Owls with six total hits over the weekend against the Highlanders.
