THE STORYLINE: · Kennesaw State scored four runs over the seventh and eighth innings combined to propel past NJIT, 5-3, on Sunday afternoon to earn an Atlantic Sun Conference weekend series sweep at Stillwell Stadium.

Austin Upshaw's three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh gave the Owls its first lead of the game and held on to defeat the Highlanders.
· With the victory, Kennesaw State's record improved to 14-19 and 5-1 in the league play, while NJIT dropped to 12-18 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED: · Kennesaw State's
AJ Moore, who recorded his eighth start on the mound this season, was solid throughout his outing.
· The righty tallied seven strikeouts on the day, and allowed three runs in 5.2 innings of work.
· For the third straight game over the weekend, NJIT plated the first runs of the ballgame with one run in the fourth and one run the fifth to take a 2-0 lead.

Griffin Helms, who entered the Sunday finale hitting .800 (4-for-5) over the weekend, recorded his second home run of the season to pull the Owls within 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
· The Highlanders extended their lead to two with another run in the sixth, pulling ahead 3-1.
· Down two, the Owls got their biggest hit of the ballgame with one out in the bottom half of the seventh with a three-run home run off the bat of
Austin Upshaw to give Kennesaw State a 4-3 edge.
