THE STORYLINE:
· Towson held of Kennesaw State's late push Saturday afternoon, taking a 6-5 final at Stillwell Stadium to earn the series.
· The Owls trailed by as many as four, but a three-run seventh put them in position to take the rubber game. But, the Tigers held off KSU's rally to earn the win.
· With the loss, Kennesaw State dropped to 8-16 on the season while Towson improved to 7-16.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
· Towson scored six runs over the first five innings of play, but lefty reliever Brian Exley worked 3.0 scoreless innings out of the pen to slow Towson's bats.
·  The outing allowed the Owls' bats to get in a rhythm and produce its biggest frame when it needed to, plating a crooked three in the bottom half of the seventh.
· A two-run, base-clearing triple to right center off the bat of Jordan Getzelman brought the Owls within 6-4, before David Chabut quickly followed with an RBI single to bring KSU within one.
· Jordan Versteeg also made an appearance out of the bullpen, working a scoreless inning and allowed just one hit.
· AJ Moore, who made his sixth start on the mound Saturday afternoon, struck out eight Towson batters over his four innings of work – which fell two shy of a new career high.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
·  The Owls recorded no errors in a game for the fifth time this season in the series finale.
· Brian Exley tossed a career-high in innings pitched on the day. His longest outing prior to the day was 1.1 innings on March 16 against Tennessee Tech at Stillwell Stadium.
· Jordan Getzelman produced his first triple in an Owl uniform, hitting a one-out fastball to right center field.

UP NEXT
The Owls return to action with a pair of mid-week non-conference tilts next week, taking on Georgia Tuesday evening and then trekking to Tennessee Tech Wednesday to wrap-up its home-and-home series with the two clubs.
